Fox News thinks killing our troops is just fine with them
June 25th, 2006 . by TomOK, this is so far past a “through the looking glass” moment that I really don’t know quite how to grok it. According to Brit Hume of Faux Snooze, if the Iraqis want to pardon any insurgents who killed American troops then it’s just fine with him and not really a big deal.
Really.
He said that.
On TV.
Ponder this for a moment, imagine the frothing wrath of the Faux crowd had Jack Murtha, or John Kerry, or any Democrat proposed, as a part of a plan to withdraw American troops, that it would be OK with them if any insurgents who were found to have killed American troops were just pardoned by Iraqi government and allowed to go on about their lives.
Just imagine it.
Yet not a peep of outrage from the media, no Tim Russerts hounding GOP-er’s about not supporting the troops, no Chris Matthews peppering White House spokespeople about why they care so little about the troops, no angry O’Reilly calling Hume a traitor to America and saying he must really hate our troops.
Silence.
Deafening silence.
Mind boggling.
