Vice-President Frist?

“Rumors have it that Vice President Cheney is to step down amidst health and/or Libby related issues. On that same note, our sources show that Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist has reserved the Nashville-area Marriott hotel to hold a press conference this Saturday. This atypical situation could only mean three things: (1) Senator Frist is going to announce his candidacy for governor (which he will not do according to every single legitimate political source in the state); (2) Senator Frist is going to announce his presidential aspirations (which would be shockingly premature at this point - two years out); or (3) President Bush is going to make a public appearance, announcing Senator Bill Frist as his next vice president upon Cheney’s resignation.
