I don’t know what depresses me more, the arrogance of the Rovians in their eagerness to defame half of America or impotence of the Democrats in standing by their words. Let a Karl Rove piss on his fellow Americans (and be utterly wrong in what he says) and the rightwing nutosphere can’t stand up fast enough to say what he “really” meant and to defend him to the hilt. Let Senator Durbin make an accurate, if hyperbolic, statement on the Senate floor and he can’t scramble fast enough on all fours back to the floor of the Senate to whine “oh please sir, I didn’t mean it, I promise not to hurt your feelings any more”.

Makes me puke, it does.
