Pentagon Creating Student Database

Recruiting Tool For Military Raises Privacy Concerns

“http://www.vaiw.org/vet/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file= article&sid=1603″

The Defense Department began working yesterday with a private marketing firm to create a database of high school students ages 16 to 18 and all college students to help the military identify potential recruits in a time of dwindling enlistment in some branches.

The program is provoking a furor among privacy advocates. The new database will include personal information including birth dates, Social Security numbers, e-mail addresses, grade-point averages, ethnicity and what subjects the students are studying……..

Thanks edandbunkie.

There is a tremendous effort here by this administration and its syncophants to do anything they can to avoid having to actually ask the supporters of this war to actually back up their vocal and political support with a recruitment drive within their own ranks. All this maneuvering to try to increase recruitment is avoiding that very central issue. No one will talk about it and as long as the lapdog media do their part and never bring it up it will remain a fringe issue.

But come one, if you support this President and his war then why aren’t you or your kids in uniform? This is a war run by cowards, supported by cowards who all sit on the sidelines and cheer on the real bravery while they drive the troops who are there beyond the breaking point.
